Job Description

TSSCI Intelligence Systems Engineer Job Description Insight Global is seeking an Intelligence Systems Engineer to provide on-site operational support for enterprise-scale intelligence and secure infrastructure platforms. This role focuses on troubleshooting, maintaining, and improving mission-critical Linux-based systems supporting DoD operations. This individual will operate in highly complex environments with multiple integrated components and will be responsible for rapid problem resolution, platform stability, and customer-facing technical support. Ideal candidates will come from a background in cyber operations or intelligence systems and possess strong networking fundamentals with hands-on troubleshooting experience. We are looking for engineers who enjoy solving complex problems, are comfortable operating in mission-driven environments, and are motivated to apply or expand their skills across modern infrastructure and automation technologies. Key responsibilities include:
  • Provide Tier 3 operational support for deployed intelligence and infrastructure platforms
  • Troubleshoot complex Linux, networking, and platform issues in enterprise-scale environments
  • Support systems already deployed and configured; diagnose isolated failures within large, multi-component architectures
  • Perform command-line administration, configuration validation, and system-level troubleshooting
  • Support Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) and secure operational environments
  • Collaborate with engineering and automation teams to reduce repeat issues
  • Provide direct, on-site customer support, recommendations, and technical guidance to DoD stakeholders
Compensation:
$65hr to $85hr. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this role will start on the 1st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.   • Bachelor's degree with 5+ years relevant experience OR Master's degree with 3+ years
  • Strong Linux background (command line required) o Comfortable navigating systems, processes, logs, and configuration
  • Proven troubleshooting skills in complex, enterprise environments
  • Networking fundamentals with the ability to diagnose connectivity issues
  • DevOps or automation exposure
  • Security+ (or equivalent)
  • Experience supporting systems in mission-critical or customer-facing environments
  • Ability to work on-site 5 days per week
  • Active TS/SCI Clearence
  • CCNA-level networking knowledge or Active Certification
  • Military experience as Intelligence Systems Maintainer / Integrator or within Cyber Operations
  • Experience with large intelligence platforms
  • Ansible specific DevOps or automation experience
  • Scripting experience (Python or shell)
  • Experience working in predominantly Linux environments
  • Familiarity with modern infrastructure tooling (CI/CD, automation, configuration management)
  • Active CI Poly Clearence or Higher
