Job Description

NIST seeks a senior Cloud Administrator to serve as the authoritative Hybrid Cloud expert. You will orchestrate complex system lifecycles, integrate federal security auditing, and establish agency-wide governance standards. Develop long-range cloud architecture. Resolve unprecedented technical challenges. Ensure 24/7 high-availability. This notice is issued under direct-hire authority to recruit new talent to occupations for which NIST has a severe shortage of candidates.
Qualifications:
Applicants must have one year (52 weeks) of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-12 level (ZP-III at NIST).
Specialized experience is defined as:
Providing system administration and development for Hybrid Cloud Services. Installing, configuring, and maintaining components of a hybrid cloud ecosystem. Diagnosing and resolving systemic technical failures and emergent security vulnerabilities within a hybrid cloud environment. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
