Job Description:

Job Description This is a 6 Month Contract to Hire Position We are seeking a Data / BI Architect to oversee and evolve our semantic data model, primarily supporting BI reporting. This role plays a key part in shaping the data architecture as the organization continues its transition to the cloud and explores external reporting for partners, making strong experience with Azure Power BI/Fabric and secure cloud data access critical. The ideal candidate brings strong data engineering and architecture skills, can set best practices for semantic modeling, and communicates effectively with both technical and business stakeholders. Key Responsibilities Lead the design and direction of semantic data models for BI and external reporting Ensure models are scalable, well?documented, and aligned to modern architecture standards Support external reporting initiatives with a focus on data security and governance Partner with BI teams to deliver intuitive, high?quality datasets for analytics and dashboards Document tables, fields, and metrics to add clarity and business context Mentor and guide team members in data modeling and Power BI best practices Provide architectural input as legacy tools are deprecated and cloud adoption progresses Required Skills & Experience Strong background in data engineering and data architecture Hands?on experience with Power BI, ideally in an Azure Power BI / Fabric environment Experience building and managing semantic models for enterprise reporting Strong communication skills and ability to influence technical direction Technologies (Experience with all not required) SQL Server Power BI SSAS Apache Iceberg dbt Python Git SSIS (being deprecated) Equal Employment Opportunity Eight Eleven Group provides equal employment opportunities (EEO) to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, national origin, age, sex, citizenship, disability, genetic information, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, marital status, amnesty or status as a covered veteran in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
