The Impact You Will Have The Digital Product Engineer Principal is accountable for design, development, delivery, and support of modern digital products including web, mobile, IoT, and microservice based backends. The Digital Product Engineer Principal is accountable for the full product life cycle and for the full technology stack. The Digital Product Engineer will establish technology and process for the Enterprise. Digital products in scope are customer focused, market differentiators with measurable value. The Digital Product Engineer Principal has the highest level of technical expertise in multiple technologies including but not limited to JavaScript, Node.js, Angular, React, React Native, Native Script, Lambda, and the full suite of AWS the full suite of AWS products. May function in a lead role. Your Responsibilities Design, develop, code, and test of digital products. Design, develop, configure, support AWS platform. Lead system designs and technology platform decisions. Keep abreast of industry trends and present findings to team, leadership, and stakeholders. Mentor and and train fellow team members on technologies, design patterns, and best practices. Participate on and lead agile teams of skilled developers / engineers, testers, and analysists. Contribute to product development. Continuous Integration / Continuous Deploy lifecycle. Work closely with business stakeholders to plan product features, stories. Work creatively and collaboratively with to ensure product usability, usefulness, feasibility, and cost effectiveness. Ensure team members have tools, time, and resources they need to successfully deliver and support solutions. Required Skills and Experience 7+ years of related professional experience. All relevant experience including work, education, transferable skills, and military experience will be considered. Cloud Service Provider Certification (e.g., AWS Cloud Practitioner, Azure Fundamentals, etc.) - required within 1 year of employment Demonstrated knowledge of digital platforms, tools, and processes Demonstrated passion for building high quality technology solutions Demonstrated experience in a technical leadership role Demonstrated ability to come up with innovative, complete technology solutions to business needs This job is on location at the BlueCross MN Eagan campus and may include on-call duties High school diploma (or equivalency) and legal authorization to work in the U.S. Preferred Skills and Experience Bachelor's degree 7 years+ direct hands-on development / engineering experience Developing modern technology such as: JavaScript, Node.js, TypeScript, Express.js, React.js, Java, Groovy, Spring, NoSQL, NativeScript.js, REST Experience designing modern web, mobile, API, and IoT solutions Experience delivering products using agile and DevOps methodologies Hands on experience with AWS Infrastructure and services such as EC2, ECS, RDS, and Lambda, and full stack serverless products Experience and familiarity with modern development and collaboration tools such as Git, Jira, Hipchat, Basecamp, CodeCommit, CodePipeline, CodeDeploy, or equivalent Role Designation Hybrid Anchored in Connection Our hybrid approach is designed to balance flexibility with meaningful in-person connection and collaboration. Compensation and Benefits $117,800.00 - $159,000.00 - $200,200.00 Annual Pay is based on several factors which vary based on position, including skills, ability, and knowledge the selected individual is bringing to the specific job.
