Springfield, MO (Onsite) Job Summary We are seeking a Lead Google Cloud Platform Platform Engineer to join our team and drive greenfield cloud initiatives on Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform). This role requires a hands-on technical leader who can design, implement, and support scalable cloud infrastructure while collaborating with cross-functional teams. Key Responsibilities Lead and support application deployments across Google Cloud Platform environments (Dev, QA, UAT, Pre-Prod, Prod) Design, develop, and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform Build and manage CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and integrate code quality tools like SonarQube Implement containerized solutions using Docker and Kubernetes (GKE) Integrate UI applications with CDN for performance optimization and caching Collaborate with networking teams to manage firewall rules, VPC configurations, and security policies Manage production releases through structured change management processes Troubleshoot and resolve complex Google Cloud Platform infrastructure issues Maintain technical documentation and ensure best practices are followed Provide leadership, mentorship, and guidance to offshore teams Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and provide regular updates Provide on-call and after-hours support (CT time zone) Required Qualifications Bachelor s or Master s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field 5+ years of hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform) 3+ years of experience with Terraform (IaC) 3+ years of experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, SonarQube) 2+ years of experience with Docker and containerization Strong scripting experience with Bash/Shell and Groovy (Jenkins pipelines) Hands-on experience with GKE (Google Kubernetes Engine) Strong understanding of Google Cloud Platform services including: Cloud Armor, Cloud Storage, Pub/Sub BigQuery, Bigtable, Cloud SQL, Spanner Cloud Run, Cloud Functions, MemoryStore Load Balancers, Cloud DNS Shared VPC, Private Service Connect, VPC Peering Strong knowledge of networking, IAM, and security in Google Cloud Platform Experience with Atlassian tools (JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket) Proficiency in YAML and JSON Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have) Google Cloud Platform Certifications (Professional Cloud Architect, etc.) Experience with Apigee (API Management) and microservices architecture Exposure to Akamai/CDN integrations Experience with Snyk (security scanning) Monitoring tools: Dynatrace, Cloud Monitoring, Cloud Logging Data engineering tools: Dataflow, Datastream, Database Migration Service Experience in hybrid cloud environments (On-Prem + Google Cloud Platform) Knowledge of cloud cost optimization strategies Why Join Us Opportunity to lead greenfield Google Cloud Platform initiatives Work with cutting-edge cloud and DevOps technologies Collaborative and fast-paced environment Long-term contract opportunity Apply Now If you are a hands-on Google Cloud Platform expert with strong platform engineering experience , we d love to connect!
