Azure Administrator Associate Identity & access management System performance monitoring Full Job Description We are seeking a Platform Administrator to add to our team that manages and supports our high-availability SaaS and IoT platform. This is a hands-on role focused on maintaining zero-downtime infrastructure through Infrastructure as Code (IaC), robust change management, and proactive monitoring. The ideal candidate has 3-5 years of relevant Azure experience and thrives in a dynamic environment with on-call responsibilities.
Qualifications/Skills:
3-5 years of hands-on experience administering Microsoft Azure environments. Strong proficiency with Bicep or similar toolsets for Infrastructure as Code. Strong background in web services in a Linux/Windows Environment that includes Web Application Firewalls, Load balancers, and Application Gateways Experience with Azure networking, storage, compute, and security services. Experience building and managing Azure DevOps pipelines for automated deployments. Familiarity with monitoring tools, New Relic, DataDog, or Azure Monitor. Understanding of cloud hosting for SaaS/IoT platforms, including high-availability setups. Knowledge of SOC2/3 compliant change management, risk management, and security operations processes. Ability to work onsite full-time and participate in on-call duties. Preferred Qualifications Microsoft certifications such as Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104) or equivalent. Familiarity with IoT-specific Azure services (e.g., IoT Hub, Event Grid) or SaaS scaling patterns.
Typical Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Manage and maintain Azure cloud infrastructure for a SaaS/IoT platform, ensuring high availability and zero-downtime operations. 2. Deploy, update, and manage resources using Bicep for IaC and Azure DevOps pipelines for CI/CD automation. 3. Monitor system performance, alerts, and health using Azure Monitor and related tools; respond to incidents and perform root cause analysis. 4. Participate in on-call rotation to handle production issues, escalations, and after-hours support. 5. Implement and follow change management processes, including risk assessment, approval workflows, and post-change reviews. 6. Enforce SOC (security operations center) processes, security best practices, identity/access management (e.g., RBAC), and compliance requirements. 7. Handle change control, incident response, and problem management to minimize risks and maintain platform reliability. 8. Collaborate on platform strategy, capacity planning, cost optimization, and improvement projects. 9. Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure, networking, performance, and security issues in a production environment. 10. Observes company policies. Continuously strives to find processes that create improved efficiency while maintaining conformance to requirements. 11. Observes and adheres to DMP Data Classification standard. 12. Contributes to team effort by performing other duties as assigned. Job duties are subject to change as directed by management.
