Systems Engineer Location :
Clayton, NC (On-site)
Pay:
$40.00 - $55.00 per hour (Commensurate with experience)

Comprehensive Healthcare Package Job Overview We are seeking a skilled Systems Engineer to join our team in Clayton, NC. This is a critical, on-site role responsible for maintaining the health, security, and efficiency of our network and server infrastructure. You will provide Tier 1-2 support across a variety of platforms, with a specific focus on ensuring the stability of our manufacturing environment's virtual servers and backup systems. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver who thrives in technical troubleshooting and understands the precision required when working within a regulated environment.
Core Responsibilities Network Infrastructure:
Install, troubleshoot, and resolve issues related to switches, routers, and firewalls to ensure maximum uptime.
Server Administration:
Provide Tier 1-2 administration for on-site Windows-based virtual servers.
Data Integrity:
Manage and support backup and restore processes, specifically tailored to the needs of a manufacturing setting. Tier 1-2
Support:
Act as a point of escalation for network and server-related technical issues, diagnosing problems and implementing effective solutions.
Compliance:
Maintain documentation and operational standards consistent with a regulated industry.
Required Qualifications Certification:
Active CCNA or CCNP certification is required
Technical Experience:
Proven experience installing, diagnosing, and repairing network hardware (switches, routers, firewalls).
Server Expertise:
Hands-on experience supporting Windows-based virtual server environments.
Problem-Solving:
Strong ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues under pressure.
Preferred Skills Industry Background:
Previous experience working within a regulated environment (e.g., pharmaceutical, medical device, or food/beverage manufacturing).
Manufacturing IT:
Familiarity with the unique requirements of IT support in a production/plant floor environment.
