We develop innovative, non-invasive devices for the treatment of sleep disordered breathing. Job Overview The Firmware Engineer II leads all firmware initiatives across sustaining and next‐generation products, ensuring reliable, scalable, and maintainable embedded firmware. This role owns project execution on multiple platforms, from concept through verification, including prototype testing and design transfer. The Firmware Engineer II partners closely with all of R D and QA, to deliver releases that are robust, manufacturable, and compliant. AI‐assisted development is expected to improve productivity, quality, and documentation in alignment with our QMS requirements. Duties and Responsibilities These duties, responsibilities and related tasks may include, but are not limited to, the following: Develop and debug firmware for next-gen and sustaining products Lead architecture design, planning, risk tracking, and documentation release Program embedded C/C++ on 32‐bit MCUs, including real‐time logic and BLE 5.x features Create diagnostics, manufacturing tests, and OTA update workflows Use AI tools within the QMS to accelerate coding, test creation, documentation, and reviews

Produce IEC 62304-aligned documentation, traceability, release notes, and test specs Engineer safety, reliability, and maintain requirements‐to‐verification traceability Work with EEs for board bring‐up, troubleshooting, and debugging new hardware Build user/test software interfaces to support bench testing and manufacturing Support field, supplier, and manufacturing investigations for RCA and corrective actionsIdeal Technical Knowledge/Technologies Used/Achievements:
Experience in regulated development (e.g., IEC 62304 lifecycle and verification) Real‐time software and RTOS fundamentals; TI‐RTOS exposure preferred Experience with OTA update architectures (bootloader, image validation, rollback) Power management expertise for battery productsBeneficial Technical Knowledge/Technologies Used/Achievements:
Exposure to regulated or quality‐managed development (traceability, design controls) Experience defining factory diagnostics, build validation, or service/update workflows across multiple SKUs Experience with closed‐loop control in embedded systems (sensing, regulation, feedback) Secure communications and data integrity techniques (e.g., CRCs, authenticated updates) appropriate for embedded devices Python or similar for build/test script automationMinimum Experience:
3-6 years of embedded firmware experience in C/C++ on 32‐bit MCUs Prior responsibility for leading firmware workstreams or features from requirements through verification on more than one platform/product Hands‐on BLE development and debugging (services/roles, connection/pairing Proficiency with SPI, I²C, UART and bench‐level debug tools (JTAG/SWD, logic analyzer, oscilloscope) Comfortable with Git, code review, and working within a quality systemEducation:
