Job Description
Overview MarketSphere is seeking an experienced Systems Engineer to implement, operate, and maintain the organization's information systems and line of business applications. The System Engineer's functional areas of responsibility include Information Systems and Infrastructure, Application Administration and Support, and Cybersecurity. •This position is located in Omaha, NE and requires the ability to be physically present during work hours.•--- Core Responsibilities Information Systems and Infrastructure Responsibility to operate and maintain enterprise Windows-based information systems and infrastructure; Provision, configure, update, and decommission virtual machines; Monitor information system resources and infrastructure and recommend optimizations; Plan, test, communicate and implement information system configuration changes; Identify information system and infrastructure contingencies and inform decision-making for contingency response. Application Administration and Support Responsibility to manage the administration of line-of-business applications supporting business operations; Develop and maintain knowledge of the relationship between business operations and line-of-business applications; Manage the configuration of applications, user provisioning, licensing, and access controls; Provide support, troubleshooting, and issue resolution for line-of-business applications; Maintain relationships with external vendor support; Provide advanced analysis and troubleshooting for complex IT issues that have been escalated; Document change management and support actions in the IT service management solution; Own the creation, maintenance, and retirement of line-of-business application SOPs. Cybersecurity Responsibility to ensure information system adherence to cybersecurity and privacy controls; Assist with internal and external cybersecurity audits; Serve as a key contributor to information system incident response and contingency recovery; Maintain awareness and understanding of latest cybersecurity trends; Continuously monitor information systems for threats, vulnerabilities, or risks. Requirements Proven experience as a systems administrator, systems engineer or a similar role with a strong understanding of systems engineering principles. Advanced proficiency with Windows OS and Microsoft 365 administration and troubleshooting Familiarity with access control management including Active Directory and Entra Experience with information system integration with SQL Server Capability to automate systems tasks with scripts or available automation technologies Ability to work independently Excellent troubleshooting skills with a focus on providing technical support to users at all levels. Experience with Azure design, operation, maintenance, and support is a plus Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
