Systems Development Engineer II Location:
On-site, Portsmouth, NH. Relocation assistance is available for eligible candidates and their families, if needed. The Systems Engineer will be responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of our critical IT infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance and reliability across our network and server environments.

Syncade/Moda Subject Matter Expert for Manufacturing Execution Systems. Design, configure, and maintain Cisco network equipment, including routers, switches, and firewalls, ensuring high availability and robust security. Install, configure, and manage Microsoft Windows Server operating systems, including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy. Implement and administer virtualized environments using VMware vSphere, including host management, virtual machine provisioning, and resource allocation. Monitor system performance and proactively identify and resolve issues related to network, server, and virtualization infrastructure. Participate in on-call rotations to provide 24/7 support for critical systems. Develop and maintain documentation for system configurations, processes, and procedures. Collaborate with other IT teams and departments to support business objectives and project requirements. Ensure compliance with company IT policies, security standards, and regulatory requirements. Assist in the planning and execution of system upgrades, migrations, and disaster recovery initiatives.
What we are looking for:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in systems administration or network engineering. Proven expertise in configuring and managing Cisco network equipment (e.g., CCNA or equivalent experience). Strong proficiency in Microsoft Windows Server administration, including hands-on experience with Active Directory and related services. Demonstrable experience with VMware vSphere, including ESXi hosts, vCenter Server, and virtual machine management. Solid understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, routing, switching, VLANs). Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNP, MCSA, VCP) are a plus.
