Job Description:

Project Summary (Jay - Cloud Engineers) What the initiative is This project is centered on client//'s CDP/CDW (China Data Platform / Workstream) — a China-specific cloud and data initiative within Jay's broader cloud, networking, and security organization. This is not a standard cloud project It is a regulatory-driven infrastructure initiative tied to operating in China Why the initiative exists (Core driver) The initiative is driven by China data compliance requirements, which mandate that: Data must remain within China What that forces client to do: Build dedicated China-based cloud environments Design region-specific infrastructure (not global extensions) Integrate across: AWS (China regions) Alibaba Cloud client must create a parallel China-compliant cloud ecosystem, not just extend their existing global one. Core problem client is facing The primary challenge is talent, not technology: client lacks specialized cloud networking expertise for China environments The project has already experienced delays and resets Only one key internal resource has deep experience — creating a bottleneck
