Lockheed Martin Rotary & Mission Systems is seeking a full-time Early Career Systems Engineer (Operating Environment). In this role, you will develop, integrate, and test computer system Operating Environments; deploy, maintain, and troubleshoot the Operating Environment in labs, on ships, and at external sites. You will also automate and streamline engineering processes. The successful candidate will have experience and/or knowledge of Linux (preferably RedHat). You must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD-8570 IAT Level 2 baseline certification (Security+ CE or equivalent). You must be willing to work full-time onsite in Moorestown, NJ, commute between local sites (within a 5 mile radius), and be willing to travel domestically or internationally as needed (approximately 10% of your time). Must be a US Citizen. This position will require a government security clearance .This position is located at a facility that requires special access.Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Sciences, Cyber Security, or equivalent.
- Basic experience with a Linux Operating System (preferably RedHat).
- Familiarity with coding/scripting/automation/orchestration platforms with programming languages such as Python, or Ansible.
- Must be a US Citizen.
Desired Skills:
- Coursework in Operating Systems, Software Development, Information Systems, Computer Architecture, Cybersecurity, or similar.
- Familiarity with configuration management and repository tools such as Git, Bitbucket, and/or Artifactory.
- Familiarity with the Agile development framework and tools, such as Jira.
- Security+, Linux+, or Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or similar certification.
- Strong analytical and collaborative problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex software systems.
- Familiarity with Continuous Integration, Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) and automated test framework technologies such as Jenkins, Maven, Ansible, and/or Robot.
- Excellent technical writing skills, with the ability to clearly and concisely communicate complex technical information in reports, documents, and other written materials.
