The selected candidate will work multiple mission system projects and tasks—from broad, strategic issues (e.g. policies, concept of operations, etc.) to tactical concerns (e.g., near-term schedules, testing, system integration and transition, etc.) to support vital operational missions.
Responsibilities:
Support Chief Engineer and government staff to execute systems engineering and integration (SE&I) activities across customer site and work collaboratively with other customer organizations across the mission enterprise. Work with SE&I teams to execute site system engineering process; oversee site processes used to document and manage site baseline to accommodate evolving mission needs. Collaborate with System Program Offices (SPO), local operations teams, and other Government Agencies to integrate various GEOINT space missions into a ground-based architecture; ensure the delivering organization understands site integration needs and processes. Assist in developing standards, processes and procedures, and operations & maintenance plans; review and evaluate technical documentation (e.g. RFCs, CONOPS, requirements; issues and risks, etc.). Represent government's interests at various forums; provide analysis and recommendations to multiple government customers. Serve as liaison between GPOC and internal/external organizational project managers to guide and monitor progress. Occasional CONUS travel. Requirements Must be a US Citizen. Active TS/SCI with CI polygraph. Bachelor's degree in science, technology, engineering, or mathematics (STEM)• and three (3) years or more experience; or master's in STEM field and one (1) year or more experience. Expertise in full system engineering life cycle; from concept, requirements, design & development, to deployment and operational maintenance. Experience with project management supporting the delivery, integration, and transition of mission systems and/or mission applications. Ability to work independently to support multiple government customers and large, complex projects to address organization's needs throughout system development lifecycle. Self-starter, proactively addresses customer requirements without supervision; readily defines solutions for broad, abstract topics. Polished communicator (written/verbal), impeccable interpersonal skills and personal judgment; and comfortable briefing or communicating with senior government managers.
