Senior Informatica (IDMC) Engineer Role Overview We are seeking a highly skilled Informatica (IDMC) Engineer to join our data team. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise-grade data management solutions using the Informatica Intelligent Data Management Cloud (IDMC) platform. The ideal candidate has deep expertise in Master Data Management (MDM) and Cloud Data Integration (CDI) . We are specifically looking for an engineer who excels in Cloud Application Integration (CAI) and API-led connectivity , as a significant portion of this role involves bridging the gap between real-time application workflows and master data hubs.
Key Responsibilities MDM Implementation:
Design and implement end-to-end Master Data Management solutions, including data modeling, match/merge rules, trust scores, and data survivorship logic within the
IDMC MDM
environment. Data Integration (CDI): Develop complex ETL/ELT mappings, task flows, and data pipelines to move and transform data between diverse cloud and on-premise sources (e.g., Snowflake, AWS S3, Azure SQL, Salesforce). Application Integration (CAI): Design and deploy real-time integration processes using Cloud Application Integration (CAI). Build automated workflows, service connectors, and process objects to sync data across business applications.
API Management:
Develop and manage
REST/SOAP
APIs to expose data services. Implement API security, throttling, and monitoring via the Informatica API Manager.
Data Quality & Governance:
Utilize Cloud Data Quality (CDQ) to profile data, build cleansing rules, and ensure high-fidelity data is entering the MDM hub.
Performance Tuning:
Optimize IDMC mappings and CAI processes for high performance and scalability.
Collaboration:
Work closely with Data Architects and Business Stakeholders to translate functional requirements into technical specifications for master data domains (Customer, Product, Vendor, etc.). Required Technical Experience Informatica
IDMC/IICS
3+ years of hands-on experience with the Informatica Intelligent Data Management Cloud (formerly IICS) platform. Master Data Management (MDM): Proven experience in MDM Hub configuration, including Data Modeling, Match & Merge, and UI configuration (Business Entity Services). Cloud Data Integration (CDI): Expert-level proficiency in building complex CDI mappings, task flows, and using various cloud connectors.
Database Skills:
Strong SQL skills for data analysis, profiling, and troubleshooting.
Platform Knowledge:
Familiarity with cloud ecosystems such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform. Preferred Qualifications (High Preference) Application Integration (CAI): Extensive experience building real-time, event-driven integrations using Informatica
CAI. API
Expertise:
Deep understanding of API design (REST/SOAP), JSON/XML structures, and web services integration.
IDMC Certification:
Informatica Professional Certification in MDM SaaS or Cloud Data Integration is a significant plus.
DevOps/CI/CD:
Experience with version control (Git) and automating IDMC deployments across environments. Compensation and Benefits Slalom prides itself on helping team members thrive in their work and life. For this position, the base salary pay range is $50/hr to $60/hr. Actual compensation will depend upon an individual's skills, experience, qualifications, location, and other relevant factors.
