Job Description
Job Summary The Cloud Engineer will support cloud transformation initiatives with a focus on infrastructure automation, cloud security posture, and scalable platform engineering. This role is fully hands-on and centers on cloud infrastructure—not application development or support. The position emphasizes Azure as the primary platform, with secondary exposure to GCP and optional familiarity with AWS. Candidates should have strong experience with Terraform Enterprise, Python, containerization, cloud networking, identity management, and Kubernetes. The role requires the ability to partner with stakeholders, gather requirements, troubleshoot issues, and implement secure and scalable cloud solutions. Key Responsibilities Design and manage Azure VNets, subnets, NSGs, Azure Firewall, VPN Gateway, and ExpressRoute. Deploy and update cloud resources using Terraform Enterprise, including modular configuration authoring, remote state, and workspace management. Configure Azure AD service principals, RBAC, and managed identities. Work with GCP components such as VPC networks, firewall rules, IAM roles, Compute Engine, and GKE. Work with AWS components including VPCs, IAM roles and policies, Auto Scaling, and infrastructure deployment via CloudFormation or Terraform. Develop automation scripts and cloud-native tooling using Python, with robust error handling and cloud integrations. Build and publish Docker images to ACR, ECR, or GCR. Deploy and manage Kubernetes workloads (AKS, GKE), including Helm charts and rolling updates. Implement identity and access configurations such as Azure AD RBAC, service principals, and conditional access. Apply AWS IAM best practices including least-privilege roles, cross-account access, and federation models. Build event-driven functions and integrate them with cloud storage and messaging services. Manage serverless function versions and workflows. Work directly with internal stakeholders to gather requirements, troubleshoot issues, and design cloud solutions. Contribute to improving cloud security posture and foundational infrastructure engineering. Required Qualifications 5-10 years of experience in cloud engineering (7+ preferred). Strong hands-on experience with Azure as the primary cloud platform. Proficiency with Terraform Enterprise for infrastructure as code. Strong Python programming skills. Experience with Docker and Kubernetes (AKS preferred). Understanding of Azure AD/IAM and foundational AWS IAM concepts. Experience with cloud networking, security controls, and resource deployment. Ability to collaborate with stakeholders, troubleshoot issues, and design scalable cloud solutions. Experience with automation, cloud-native tooling, and infrastructure optimization. Preferred Qualifications Exposure to GCP, including VPC networking, IAM, Compute Engine, and GKE. Familiarity with AWS, including VPCs, IAM, and Auto Scaling. Experience with serverless technologies such as Azure Functions or AWS Lambda. Understanding of CI/CD processes for cloud and infrastructure changes. Experience with event-driven architectures and durable workflows.
