The Position The Enterprise Data Architect is responsible for designing, developing, and governing the organization's data architecture to ensure data is reliable, secure, scalable, and aligned with the business strategy. This role defines data models, integration patterns, standards, and governance frameworks to enable data product development, analytics, AI, operational reporting, and digital initiatives. This individual will be an integral member of the Data Services Team and will be responsible for the design and implementation of the enterprise-wide data architecture, ensuring the strategy supports the current and future business needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Data Architecture & Design:
Oversee enterprise data architecture strategy, including conceptual, logical, and physical data models Design and maintain end-to-end system architecture across applications, platforms, data warehouses/lakes, and integration architectures Establish data standards, naming conventions, and architectural patterns for development teams Evaluate and select data technologies (cloud platforms, databases, integration tools)
Data Integration & Platforms:
Ensure interoperability across applications, analytics platforms, and master data domains Collaborate with engineering teams to implement scalable data models and pipelines
Data Governance & Quality:
Partner with data governance on data ownership, stewardship, lineage, and metadata Define data quality frameworks, validation rules, and monitoring approaches Ensure compliance with regulatory and security requirements (PII, GDPR, HIPAA, ) Lead architectural reviews and provide guidance on complex design decisions Ensure systems are secure, reliable, and optimized for performance and cost
Stakeholder Collaboration:
Work with business stakeholders to translate requirements into data architecture solutions Partner with data engineers, analysts, software engineers and product teams to enable advanced data use cases and provide architectural support Mentor developers and engineers on architecture principles and design patterns
Strategy & Roadmap:
Develop multi-year data architecture roadmap aligned to business strategy Assess current-state vs target-state architecture and prioritize initiatives Support enterprise initiatives such as cloud migration, AI enablement, and MDM Qualifications Experience with implementing data architecture strategies that align with business Strong knowledge of industry best practices around data architecture in both cloud-based and on-prem environments Expertise in data governance, metadata management, and security frameworks Strong knowledge of system design, microservices, SQL, APIs, data integration and cloud

g., AWS, Azure, or GCP) A comprehensive understanding of data warehousing and data processes and the supporting technologies such as Databricks, Azure Data Factory, DataLakes, other analytics products Experience with modern programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, C#, or JavaScript) Expertise with DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and SDLC Familiarity with security best practices and enterprise integration patterns Excellent problem solving and technical documentation and presentation skills Deep knowledge of data modeling (dimensional, relational, graph, NoSQL) Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field 5-10+ years experience in data architecture, data engineering, or analytics platforms Why Should You Apply?
