Job Description

Role:
SENIOR Devops Lead - Experience on
GCE/GKE Location:
Candidates will need to work out of the Client's office in New York in a hybrid mode. This role is not able to offer visa transfer or sponsorship, now or in the future Applications will be accepted until May 31st, 2026 About the Role Deep hands-on experience with GKE (cluster architecture, network design, security, upgrades, operations). Hands-on experience with Google Distributed Cloud (GDC)—hybrid/edge Kubernetes operations, fleet management.
Strong Kubernetes expertise:
Deployments, StatefulSets, Services, Ingress, PV/PVC, HPA/VPA, Pod disruption budgeting, container runtime internals. Extensive experience deploying containerized apps using Helm charts in Dev, QA, UAT, Staging, and Production. Strong experience building and operating GitHub Workflows (GitHub Actions) for enterprise-level CI/CD.
Hands-on Docker experience:
image design, multi-stage builds, vulnerability scanning, artifact registries.
Strong troubleshooting of Kubernetes issues:
networking, DNS, load balancers, container failures, node issues, etc.
Salary and Other Compensation:
The annual salary for the position is between $110,000/year - $130,000/year and depends on experience and other qualifications. This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
