Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking an Observability Engineer to improve system visibility and reliability by building dashboards, integrating data pipelines, and enabling proactive issue detection. This role involves working across teams to monitor system performance, maintain stability, and ensure reliable data flows in production environments. The ideal candidate will leverage observability tools and best practices to support operational excellence and continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities Build and enhance dashboards aligned with business and operational requirements. Monitor system performance and maintain stability across multiple environments. Analyze logs, metrics, and traces to identify issues and support timely resolution of production incidents. Design and implement observability solutions to improve data visibility and service health monitoring. Develop and maintain pipelines for collecting and processing observability data. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to coordinate tasks, manage ticket queues, and support ongoing operations. Implement system changes with appropriate testing, validation, and deployment planning. Ensure adherence to IT and security policies and standards. Manage documentation, process improvements, and project-related activities. Stay current with observability tools, technologies, and cost-optimization strategies. Support proactive alerting and continuous monitoring to enhance system reliability. Required Qualifications 3-5 years of relevant experience in observability, monitoring, or related engineering roles. Hands-on experience with application observability, including metrics, logs, and tracing. Strong experience with Grafana for dashboarding and monitoring. Experience working with Kubernetes in production environments. Proficiency in Python scripting. Familiarity with SQL and data querying. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to work collaboratively across teams and manage multiple priorities effectively. Experience implementing monitoring solutions and resolving production issues. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a related field. Experience with Datadog or similar observability tools. Familiarity with edge computing environments. Experience with restaurant POS systems.
