Job Description

As a Systems Engineer I, you will apply foundational skills in key areas such as requirements engineering, systems integration, Verification & Validation (V&V), and Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE). You will assist in system and decision analysis, technical planning, and risk management under supervision. You will contribute to project tasks with basic knowledge in architecture/design development, technical monitoring, and lifecycle management, while effectively communicating and collaborating with team members. You are expected to demonstrate eagerness to learn and grow within the field. The ISR (Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance), Aviation, and Security (IAS) business area is a leader in ISR and aviation, it is a leading prime manned and unmanned aircraft systems integrator for innovative, high-performance ISR and aviation systems. Its end-to-end Command, Control, Computers, Communications and Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance (C4ISR) capabilities encompass design, integration, test, certification, ground/flight training and complete logistics support. IAS tailors solutions to customer cost, performance, and schedule requirements and designs to consistently exceed expectations - with an unrivaled record of on time and on (or under) budget deliveries.
Responsibilities:
- + Assist in basic requirements engineering, systems integration, V&V, and MBSE tasks.
Qualifications You Must Have:
- + Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
- The ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required
Qualifications We Prefer:
- + Basic understanding of computer networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and network topologies + Familiarity with network configuration and management tools + Experience with troubleshooting hardware and software issues + Ability to work successfully in a highly collaborative, fast-paced environment emphasizing rapid prototyping and fielding of capabilities, with minimal supervision.
Essential Functions:
