Senior Platform Engineer

Experteer Overview As a Sr. Platform Engineer, you design and operate the Azure data and analytics platform to support smooth operations and set architectural standards. You guide the data and analytics ecosystem, supporting business reporting and data delivery teams while mentoring other developers. You'll align solutions with Fisher's enterprise priorities and help scale the environment for future needs. This role combines hands-on delivery with technical leadership in a dynamic, globally growing technology team.

Compensation / Benefits

• Own and evolve the Azure data and analytics platform from implementation through enhancements and ongoing operations
• Design and coordinate cloud data and application solutions across architecture, development, IAM, networking, and data management
• Provide technical direction to database and application developers
• Develop cloud security policies, data standards, and BI guidelines for business and technical teams
• Troubleshoot data warehouse/BI systems and monitor for improvements and issues
• Perform capacity planning, cloud cost analysis, and optimization recommendations
• Provide after-hours system and application support
• Prepare and present project work plans and status reports to management Tasks
• 8+ years of experience in enterprise software/data solutions focusing on data and cloud applications
• Experience with Azure data and analytics stack (Databricks, Synapse, Data Factory, Data Lake Storage, Power BI)
• Infrastructure as Code experience (Terraform)
• DevOps experience (GitHub Actions, PowerShell)
• Application development experience with Microsoft/cloud tech (SQL, Azure, C#, Python)
• Experience with Machine Learning/MLOps
• Experience with Agile methodologies in cloud/data/BI contexts
• BS or equivalent in Computer Science or related field Key requirements
