55 Overview We are seeking a highly skilled Aras Innovator Infrastructure Engineer to join our dynamic IT team within the FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods) sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the infrastructure supporting our Aras Innovator PLM platform. This role is critical in ensuring the stability, security, and optimisation of our enterprise systems, which manage everything from recipe formulations to sustainable packaging specifications. Candidates should possess strong expertise in the Microsoft stack and cloud platforms to support our organisation's digital transformation and industry-standard compliance initiatives. Duties

Platform Deployment:

Design, deploy, and manage Aras Innovator environments across cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) or hybrid UK-based data centres.

Web Stack Management:

Configure and optimise Internet Information Services (IIS) and .NET frameworks specifically for Aras application servers.

Database Administration:

Manage and tune Microsoft SQL Server to ensure high performance for complex FMCG data structures, including multi-level Bills of Materials (BOMs) and ingredient specifications.

Global Vault & Replication:

Oversee the Aras Vault server infrastructure, ensuring high-resolution artwork and packaging die-lines are replicated across global manufacturing sites.

Compliance & Validation:

Maintain infrastructure in accordance with GxP and UK/EU regulatory standards, ensuring robust audit trails and data integrity for food safety or cosmetic regulations.

Integration & Middleware:

Support API-based integrations using Aras AML and RESTful services to link PLM with ERP (e.g., SAP) and Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS).

Automated Tooling:

Develop automation scripts using PowerShell or Python to streamline Aras instance refreshes, backups, and programme deployments.

Identity & Access:

Configure secure remote access and Single Sign-On (SSO) via Azure AD or similar, managing permissions for both internal teams and external co-manufacturers. Skills

Aras Architecture:

Comprehensive understanding of Aras Innovator's multi-tier architecture and web-service-based framework.

Microsoft Ecosystem:

Advanced proficiency in Windows Server, IIS, and MS SQL Server.

Cloud Infrastructure:

Proven experience hosting enterprise applications in Azure or AWS.

Scripting & Automation:

Strong skills in PowerShell for Windows-based automation and familiarity with API integration.

Industry Compliance:

Knowledge of IT security principles and data retention policies relevant to the FMCG or Pharmaceutical industries.

Technical Validation:

Experience working within formal Change Management frameworks (e.g., ITIL) to ensure stable infrastructure development life cycles.

Problem Solving:

Excellent analytical skills with a focus on system optimisation and resolving latency issues across distributed networks.
