Remote As a Application Architect — Inpatient Video Visit & Virtual Care Platforms, you will: The Application Architect provides strategic and technical leadership for the design, integration, and governance of vendor-supported inpatient video visit platforms within the organization's clinical ecosystem. This role ensures that virtual care capabilities for hospitalized patients are scalable, secure, interoperable, and aligned with enterprise architecture standards and patient care objectives. The architect defines the target-state architecture for inpatient telehealth, guiding how video visit solutions integrate with EHR systems, identity platforms, clinical workflows, device ecosystems, and cloud infrastructure to deliver reliable, compliant, and patient-centered virtual care. Day to Day Responsibilities Architecture Strategy & Roadmap Solution Design & Integration Vendor Architecture Governance Security, Privacy & Compliance Device & Edge Architecture Cloud & Infrastructure Alignment Governance & Standards Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement. The ideal candidate will have: Bachelor's degree with 9+ years or Master's degree with 7+ years of experience in healthcare IT, including 3+ years in solution/application architecture roles; active Epic certification required. Strong expertise in healthcare interoperability (HL7/FHIR), SaaS platform architecture, IAM/API integration, and HIPAA-compliant secure healthcare environments. Required Skills & Qualifications Bachelor's degree and nine (9) years of experience in business analysis, business administration, engineering, information science, health, or science-related field OR Master's degree and seven (7) years of experience in business analysis, business administration, engineering, information science, health, or science-related field. 8+ years of experience must be in healthcare IT, with 3+ years in solution or application architecture roles. Active Epic certification required (any module) Demonstrated experience designing architectures for vendor-supported SaaS platforms in regulated environments. Strong knowledge of healthcare interoperability standards (HL7, FHIR). Experience with identity management, API architecture, and integration patterns. Deep understanding of HIPAA compliance and healthcare security requirements. Preferred Skills & Qualifications Experience with telehealth or virtual care platforms in inpatient settings. Familiarity with major EHR platforms (e.g., Epic, Oracle Health/Cerner). Experience with cloud architectures in healthcare environments. TOGAF, AWS/Azure/GCP, or healthcare informatics certifications. Experience with device management and clinical IoT ecosystems. Qualified candidates shouldAPPLY NOW
