Step into a pivotal role as an AWS Cloud Engineer, where you'll play a key part in designing, deploying, and maintaining cloud infrastructure in a dynamic life insurance environment. Responsibilities Collaborate in the rollout and maintenance of AWS services integral to insurance operations and data management. Work under senior engineers to establish Infrastructure as Code practices using tooling like Terraform. Manage cloud environments to align with strict security and compliance standards in the sector. Monitor AWS resources, troubleshooting issues to meet customer service expectations. Engage actively in deploying internal applications through CI/CD workflows. Generate thorough documentation for audits, incident management, and regulatory needs. Partner with cross-functional teams on security and compliance to ensure governance standards. Pursue skill development through mentorship and training in cloud technologies. Skills Basic knowledge of AWS core services or relevant certification such as AWS Cloud Practitioner. Experience managing Linux or Windows servers within secure settings. Proficient in scripting languages like Python or Bash. Understanding of networking fundamentals including subnets and firewalls. Experience with Git or similar version control systems. Eager to advance cloud engineering expertise in a regulated industry. Preferred Skills Practical AWS experience, ideally involving enterprise security or regulated data. Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code technologies such as Terraform. Understanding of CI/CD processes and automation pipelines. Knowledge of containerization tools like Docker. Experience in compliance standards like SOC 2 and least-privilege access models.
