Azure Cloud Engineer

Experteer Overview In this role you will design, deploy and operate scalable Azure cloud infrastructure, aligning with security and compliance standards. You'll partner with cross-functional teams to translate cloud requirements into reliable solutions, and drive automation, PoCs and tooling that improve speed and quality. You'll balance hands-on engineering with guidance to stakeholders, enabling faster resource delivery while maintaining robust governance. This position offers meaningful impact through secure, efficient cloud platforms at scale.

• Develop and maintain scalable Azure cloud infrastructure
• Collaborate with stakeholders to capture cloud needs and design effective solutions
• Troubleshoot performance bottlenecks and cloud-related issues
• Design, implement and manage automation tooling and IaC for routine operations
• Deploy enterprise-scale cloud resources using code and ensure standards compliance
• Serve as liaison between business app owners and the cloud team
• Support security controls, audits, logging and monitoring for compliance
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, tooling, and automated, reliable deployments
• Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and on-call rotations
• Ensure deployments align with solution standards and architecture Tasks
• 10+ years in IT infrastructure deployment and operations
• 5+ years Azure cloud deployments using IaC
• Experience with public cloud IaaS and PaaS
• Deploying resources with Terraform
• 4+ years GitHub and GitHub Actions
• Building automated cloud infrastructure across multiple environments
• Scripting and automation (builds, workflows, tasks)
• Azure CLI
• 3+ years CI/CD pipelines and YAML for GitHub Actions
• Troubleshooting in Azure Cloud and cloud solution design
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes
• AI platforms on Azure or similar cloud AI services
• Experience with Azure IaaS and PaaS components
• Knowledge of identity management, security controls, compliance and encryption
• Experience explaining complex concepts to technical and non-technical audiences
• DNS, LAN, WAN, Firewalls, File systems, IAM fundamentals
• Experience with Linux and Windows servers
• Jira, Confluence, or ServiceNow
• PowerShell
• Knowledge in Octopus Deploy and Ansible (preferred)
• Bachelor's degree in MIS, Computer Science, or related field Key requirements
