This remote role offers the chance to lead the deployment and management of enterprise API platforms across multi-cloud and on-prem environments, supporting critical infrastructure stability and security. Position Overview for the
Cloud Infrastructure Engineer :
Support the design, deployment, and stabilization of a large-scale API platform using Apigee Hybrid across multiple cloud providers and on-prem data centers. Manage and provision Kubernetes infrastructure, including AKS (Azure Kubernetes Service), GKE (Google Kubernetes Engine), and on-prem clusters. Deploy and configure Apigee Hybrid runtimes and Akamai edge routing components to ensure secure and reliable API delivery. Develop infrastructure as code using Terraform, automating provisioning and configuration processes. Configure and optimize multi-cloud networking to ensure seamless connectivity and security. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support observability, security, and compliance standards. Document infrastructure architecture and deployment procedures for ongoing support and improvements. Requirements for the
Cloud Infrastructure Engineer :
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or at least 5 years of equivalent experience. Over 5 years of hands-on experience programming in SQL and managing data pipelines, including batch and streaming data processes. At least 3 years of experience managing Kubernetes environments, specifically AKS, with preferred GKE or on-prem clusters. Strong experience working with multiple cloud platforms, especially Azure and GCP. Proficiency with Terraform and infrastructure as code (IaC), along with CI/CD pipeline automation. Familiarity with Apigee Hybrid architecture and deployment. Knowledge of edge platforms, with Akamai experience preferred. Experience with security event data integration and enterprise SIEM platforms. Excellent collaboration, documentation, and cross-team communication skills. Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have): Experience working in healthcare or other regulated environments. Cloud or Kubernetes certifications. Hands-on experience with Apigee Hybrid or Akamai noname engines. Knowledge of GitOps tools such as ArgoCD or Flux. What's in it for you? Competitive hourly pay rate of $64-$68.
