Position Summary:
The DevOps Architect is responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing the infrastructure, deployment pipelines, and operational frameworks that support Anchor Loans' lending platforms and internal systems. This role ensures systems are scalable, secure, and highly available while enabling efficient software delivery across engineering and data teams.Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Infrastructure & Cloud Architecture Design and maintain cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure) supporting loan origination systems, data platforms, and internal applications Define infrastructure-as-code standards (Terraform, CloudFormation, etc.) Ensure high availability, scalability, and disaster recovery strategies Manage NoSQL (MongoDB Atlas) configuration, connectivity, access, backups/DR, and cost CI/CD & Release Management Architect and manage CI/CD pipelines for application deployment Standardize build, test, and release processes across engineering teams Improve deployment frequency while minimizing risk and downtime System Reliability & Monitoring Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting frameworks (Datadog, CloudWatch, etc.) Define SLAs/SLOs for system uptime and performance Lead incident response and root cause analysis for production issues Security & Compliance Enforce security best practices across infrastructure and pipelines Ensure compliance with financial services and data protection requirements Partner with security teams on vulnerability management and access controls Automation & Efficiency Automate repetitive operational tasks to improve system reliability and team productivity Optimize cost management across cloud environments Improve developer experience through tooling and workflow enhancements Cross-Functional Collaboration Bridge the gap between business applications, cloud operations, customer support, and engineering to deliver cohesive technical solutions Collaborate closely with Development, QA, Product, and Operations teams on engineering initiatives Incorporate operational requirements into system design to drive product excellence and usabilityRequirements:
7+ years in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or Infrastructure roles Strong experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred) Expertise in CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI, etc.) Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) Proficiency in infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, etc.) Experience administering MongoDB Atlas or similar managed database platforms Strong understanding of monitoring, logging, and incident management Experience in financial services, lending, or regulated environments is a plusWork Environment :
This is a hybrid position which requires in-office reporting to Anchor's Thousand Oaks office on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Remote work is optional Monday and Friday. Fully remote opportunities are also available.Compensation:
The base pay range for this position is $120,000 to $135,000 per year, plus annual discretionary bonus based on performance of the individual and company.What We Offer:
