Job Title:
Enterprise Architect (Cloud)
Location:
Remote Role (Occasional Travel to Buffalo, NY would be required- Will be expected to travel to Buffalo, NY 14203 every 4-6 weeks, Monday through Thursday in the office, All expenses paid/reimbursed)
Duration:
05 + Months Contract Role +
Extension Pay Rate:
$90/hr. to $120/hr.

Direct Notes This role is ideal for a strategic thinker with strong technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and a passion for driving innovation in the financial sector Skill Set Cloud Strategy & Architecture Enterprise Architecture Executive Communication & Influence Job Summary As a Cloud Architect at Client, you will play a pivotal role in the bank's strategic transition from an on-premises data center to a hybrid model involving colocation and a single public cloud. This position requires a deep understanding of banking compliance and U.S. Federal regulations, as well as expertise in designing and implementing cloud solutions that align with the bank's operational and security standards.
Key Responsibilities Strategic Planning:
Develop and refine the roadmap for transitioning to a hybrid cloud model, ensuring alignment with business goals and regulatory requirements
High-Level Design:
Create comprehensive high-level designs for cloud architecture, addressing scalability, security, and compliance
Detailed Solutions Architecture:
Translate high-level designs into detailed solutions architecture, providing clear guidance for implementation teams
Compliance Expertise:
Ensure all cloud solutions adhere to banking compliance standards and U.S. Federal regulations
Team Collaboration:
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, security, and business units, to ensure seamless integration of cloud solutions
Implementation Guidance:
Lead and guide implementation teams, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within scope
Trusted Advisor:
Build strong relationships with management, providing expert advice and insights to support decision-making
Communication:
Effectively communicating complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders, fostering understanding and collaboration
Third Party Engagement:
Ensures seamless collaboration between internal teams and external partners directly impacting SLAs, cost, performance, and agility in hybrid cloud environments.
Expected Skills Strong Communication Skills:
The ability to clearly articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, collaborate effectively across teams, and ensure smooth project execution.
Security and Compliance:
Familiarity with Azure Security Center, identity management using Azure AD, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
Networking Fundamentals:
Understanding virtual networks, subnets, load balancers, DNS, and hybrid connectivity in Azure environments.
Cloud Computing Expertise:
In-depth knowledge of cloud principles, services, and architecture, particularly with
Azure Solution Architecture:
Designing scalable, secure, and efficient solutions with blueprints to meet organizational needs
Azure Services Mastery:
Proficiency in Azure services such as
Azure Virtual Machines, Azure Kubernetes Service, Azure Functions, Azure App Services, and Azure Cosmos DB Automation and DevOps:
Skills in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates, Terraform, and expertise in CI/CD pipelines
Data Management:
Competence in Azure data storage options, data migration strategies, and analytics services
Cost Optimization:
The ability to manage resources effectively and implement strategies for cost control within Azure environments
Critical Thinking Skills:
A creative and analytical approach to diagnosing and resolving technical challenges
Continuous Learning:
Staying updated on Azure's rapidly evolving tools, features, and best practices.
Expected Knowledge Container Orchestration Expertise :
Proficiency in Kubernetes-based platforms like AKS and OpenShift for managing containerized applications
DevOps Integration:
Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines within OpenShift environments
Application Deployment :
Understanding how to deploy, manage, and scale applications efficiently in
OpenShift Security Practices:
Familiarity with OpenShift's built-in security features, such as role-based access control (RBAC) and security contexts for containers
Monitoring and Logging:
Knowledge of tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and OpenShift's native monitoring solutions
Customization and Extensibility:
Ability to use OpenShift templates, operators, and Helm charts for personalized deployments
Data Warehousing Concepts:
Understanding of Snowflake's cloud-native data warehouse architecture, as well as
Databricks and Fabric Data Integration Patterns:
Experience in designing data exchange patterns between on-premises and public cloud for synchronized, a synchronized and batch exchange
Data Sharing Capabilities:
Familiarity with Snowflake's data-sharing capabilities for seamless collaboration across organizations.
Qualifications Education:
Bachelor's in computer science, IT, engineering, or related field 7+ years in cloud architecture, with 3+ years focused on Azure hybrid environments Knowledge of Colo providers, data center operations, and SLA management Certifications in
Azure Solution Architect Expert, Azure Administrator, Certified Cloud Service Manager, DevOps Engineer Expected Deliverables Cloud Transition Roadmap:
A detailed plan outlining the steps for migrating to a hybrid cloud model.
High-Level Design Documents:
Comprehensive documentation of the proposed cloud architecture. Solutions Architectur e
Blueprints:
Detailed designs ready for implementation.
Compliance Reports:
Documentation demonstrating adherence to regulatory requirements.
Implementation Plans:
Clear and actionable plans for deploying cloud solutions.
Performance Metrics:
