Job Description

Plant City , United States Propane Ninja is seeking an ERP Systems Engineer to help us fully implement, refine, and operate our ERP system as we continue to grow. This role sits at the intersection of technology and real-world operations . You will work directly with leadership, service teams, dispatch, accounting, and office staff to translate how our business actually runs into a system that is practical, efficient, and used every day. We are currently using Odoo across multiple modules (CRM, Helpdesk, Field Service, and others) and are focused on building a clean, scalable system—especially within accounting and cross-functional workflows. This is not a generic development role. This is a hands-on, in-house position where you will help shape how the business operates. Personal Evolution Autonomy Administrative Work Technical Expertise Responsibilities Evaluate and improve our current ERP/Odoo implementation Translate operational workflows into structured system processes Configure and customize ERP modules (CRM, Helpdesk, Field Service, Accounting, etc.) Build and refine automations between business activities and system outputs Troubleshoot and resolve ERP-related issues in a live environment Work closely with Operations, Service, Accounting, and HR teams Participate in requirements gathering and solution design discussions Support training and ensure the system is used effectively Must Have Hands-on experience with Odoo ERP OR strong experience implementing/customizing ERP systems (NetSuite, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, Oracle, etc.) combined with Python development Working knowledge of Python and database-driven systems Ability to work on-site (hybrid) and collaborate directly with cross-functional teams Strong problem-solving skills and ability to learn and adapt within an existing ERP environment Proven ability to translate business workflows into system design and to work directly with operational teams (not just technical teams) Nice to have Experience with Odoo modules (CRM, Accounting, Inventory, Field Service, etc.) Experience in field service, logistics, fuel/energy, HVAC, or operations-heavy industries Experience improving or rebuilding an existing ERP system Familiarity with PostgreSQL or similar databases What Success Looks Like (First 90 Days) Identify key gaps in our current ERP/Odoo setup Improve usability across core workflows Begin structuring alignment between operations and accounting Deliver practical improvements that reduce friction for daily users This Role Is Not A fully remote position A pure software development role without business interaction A good fit for candidates without ERP implementation or systems experience Why This Role Matters You will play a key role in shaping how our business operates day-to-day.
