The Opportunity We are seeking an Infrastructure Administrator who enjoys solving complex problems and is not afraid to take on a challenge. The primary responsibilities include the daily management, maintenance, configuration and documentation of customer infrastructure and network devices as well as SMB network and server design. Communication within this role is critical both internally and externally to ensure a positive and seamless customer experience. Essential Functions Experience working with Hyper-V / VMware virtualization System maintenance: Perform regular maintenance and updates to systems, including hardware, software, and operating systems System security: Manage security systems like firewalls, anti-virus software, and intrusion detection systems System performance: Monitor and optimize system performance, capacity, and availability System backups: Plan and execute backup and restore strategies System documentation: Develop and maintain documentation like network specifications, diagrams, and equipment configurations System support: Provide technical support to users, both on-site and remotely System architecture: Research and design best practices for system architecture and engineering System disaster recovery: Research, design, and execute disaster recovery plans Provide proactive communication with customers to keep them informed on project or incident progress, setting clear expectations for follow-up and following through on those commitments Provide clear and accurate documentation for all customer incidents to provide insight into the value provided Continually search for ways to better serve our customers through process, tools or technology improvements Work with Engineers and Solutions Architects to design, consult and implement technology solutions Work effectively in a team environment and proactively communicate Demonstrate a commitment to personal and professional growth by actively pursuing and completing technical certifications that enhance your skills What you need to succeed 4 years of network, server, operating systems, storage and\or cloud support Ability to follow procedures or standards to implement technical solutions Strong written and verbal communication skills including providing detailed documentation relating to implementations or break\fix work Strong background in enterprise network attached storage, management and protection solutions. Must be able to design and implement new solutions, manage change, and add policies in a large-scale, mission critical, multi-PB storage environment. Strong communication and relationship management skills- ability to collaborate effectively and transparently and work as part of a team Proven experience in designing, maintaining, and managing enterprise storage and backup systems Skills with scripting and/or automation technologies Strong consulting skills with an ability to work closely with stakeholders to go beyond "what" they require and focus on the "why" and take a more holistic approach to each customer's needs Preferred Certifications- MS-102, MD-102, AZ-900 Comprehensive knowledge of the Microsoft 365 portfolio, Microsoft server, virtualization technologies, SAN, firewall technologies, firewall security policies, NAT's and DMZ, network L2/L3 configurations, VoIP telephony, SSO, Federation, Multifactor Authentication, backup and recovery technologies, and archiving strategies.
