Raritan, NJ (Hybrid) Employment mode : Long term contract Customer domain : Pharmaceutical What we're looking for: We are seeking an experienced Lead AWS Cloud Developer/Engineer with strong architectural and hands-on engineering expertise to help design, build, and deploy a mirrored AWS environment based on our current production ecosystem. This role involves standing up a new AWS landing zone, implementing secure and scalable infrastructure, and enabling automated deployments through best-in-class IaC and DevOps practices. This is a highly technical, onsite role requiring close collaboration with internal engineering, security, and operations teams to ensure all cloud services, policies, and configurations align with enterprise standards. High-level overview of s kills needed: AWS Services Architecture Control Tower AWS Config IAM Policies (SCP, IDC, Identity) CloudFormation AWS networking and VPC configuration DevOps skills to deploy and manage a new AWS network Terraform/IaC skills Python coding skills
Summary:
Looking for an Experienced Senior AWS Cloud Developer / Solutions Architect with strong expertise in AWS platform engineering, cloud governance, automation, and enterprise-scale AWS organization management. The ideal candidate will lead the design and implementation of secure, scalable, and compliant AWS environments Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field. 10-15+ years of IT/software engineering experience with 7+ years focused on AWS cloud platforms. Strong hands-on experience managing enterprise AWS environments and AWS Organizations.
Deep understanding of:
AWS Organizations SCPs (Service Control Policies) IAM governance Multi-account architectures Landing zone implementations AWS Control Tower Experience implementing cloud guardrails and governance frameworks for enterprise compliance requirements. Experience reviewing and allowing listing of AWS services based on security, risk, and compliance standards. Strong experience with Infrastructure as
Code:
Terraform AWS CloudFormation AWS CDK Strong hands-on experience with Python automation and AWS SDKs/APIs (Boto3). Experience building cloud automation and self-service provisioning workflows. Strong scripting/programming skills in Python, Bash, or PowerShell. Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, or AWS CodePipeline. Strong understanding of cloud security, networking, logging, and monitoring. Experience with compliance frameworks such as
SOC2, ISO
27001, HIPAA, PCI-DSS, or NIST. Excellent troubleshooting, documentation, and stakeholder communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
AWS Certifications (Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer, or Security Specialty) Experience migrating or replicating enterprise cloud environments. Knowledge of monitoring, observability, and logging tools (CloudWatch, OpenSearch, etc.).
