Job Description
In this role, you will: Support the engineering and operation of the Mac platform across provisioning, configuration, software deployment, compliance, remediation, and lifecycle management. Engineer and modernize Mac management workflows in Jamf Pro, with a focus on reliability, scalability, and a strong end-user experience. Write, maintain, and improve scripts and code used to support Mac platform management, operational efficiency, and service quality. Participate in peer reviews and team-based engineering practices, with the ability to understand, validate, and clearly explain the code being written and deployed. Use modern engineering tools, including AI-assisted development tools such as Copilot and Claude, responsibly and effectively to accelerate work while maintaining sound technical judgment. Evolve Mac endpoint standards including baseline configuration, security settings, compliance guardrails, and lifecycle practices aligned with enterprise requirements. Partner with security, QA, and release governance to improve validation practices for macOS updates, configuration changes, application deployments, and platform releases. Support and enhance Jamf administration, including policy management, device enrollment, package deployment, troubleshooting, and operational reliability. Collaborate closely with the broader Mac Engineering team and cross-functional Workplace Engineering partners to deliver secure, stable, and scalable platform solutions.
Technical Requirements:
Strong experience with macOS endpoint engineering in an enterprise environment. Hands-on experience with Jamf Pro or Jamf Cloud. Proficiency in scripting and comfort reading and writing code. Ability to participate in peer reviews and clearly explain technical implementation decisions. Working knowledge of GitHub-based workflows including branching, pull requests, and code reviews. Comfort using AI-assisted engineering tools such as Copilot, Claude, or similar tools with sound technical judgment. Understanding of enterprise endpoint security concepts including hardening, compliance, patching, and secure configuration management. Experience with Terraform to manage infrastructure or configuration as code is a strong plus. Jamf certifications and familiarity with monitoring, telemetry, or operational observability concepts are a plus. What it takes:
Undergraduate degree in a related field or equivalent experience. 3-5+ years of relevant experience in macOS endpoint engineering, scripting, or platform engineering roles. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical work clearly and collaborate effectively within a team environment. Ability to work across teams, contribute to engineering standards, and support reliable, scalable platform practices. Strong planning, organization, and delivery discipline.
