The Enterprise Architect IV will provide technical consultative services to the agency in support of strategic data architecture and data management. The position will be part of an enterprise architecture team that is responsible for architecture roadmaps, implementation of new architectures and making recommendations based on business use cases. This position will play a lead role in the design and delivery of data architectures, including master data store, system of record designations, and downstream data integrations/data flows.Key assignments include:
- Prepare architecture diagrams and documentation
- Write technical specifications
- Participate in data governance activities
- Implement technologies in support of data architecture designs
- Research and participate in the evaluation of technologies to support a streaming data architecture
- Work with application development teams to ensure data integrations and flows preserve the system of record hierarchy
- Maintain system of record documentation
- Perform analysis of business needs to design appropriate data architectures
- Collaborate with agency staff to define standards, policies and procedures to improve the management of data throughout its lifecycle
- Perform impact analysis to determine impact of data architecture changes to existing systems and data flows
- Data domain identification, creation of data strategy and aligning development teams to those strategies
Skills and Competencies:
- Experience with complex technology implementations, including data solutions using APIs and integrating data across systems.
- Knowledge of the software development lifecycle, IT project management
- Strong technical knowledge of and experience working relational databases and unstructured data
- Strong technical knowledge and experience with programming/scripting languages
- Experience implementing data management strategies
- Experience performing data modeling
- Knowledge and experience implementing a streaming data architecture
- Demonstrated ability to work productively with cross-functional working groups across organizational layers.
- Knowledge of DevOps/agile methodologies
- Experience with DevOps, Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery, Configuration Management.
