We are expanding our Cloud Operations team and seeking a junior OCI Cloud Administrator to support cloud engineering and operational activities for a federal program at Hanscom AFB.Role Overview:
As an OCI Cloud Administrator (Entry-Level), you will support the deployment, maintenance, and monitoring of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure environments. This role is ideal for candidates early in their careers who have foundational cloud knowledge, strong technical aptitude, and a desire to grow within cloud engineering and operations. You will work alongside senior engineers and cybersecurity teams to help maintain secure, scalable, and reliable cloud environments while gaining hands-on experience in OCI and multi-cloud ecosystems.Key Responsibilities:
Support day-to-day operation and maintenance of OCI cloud environments Assist with provisioning and management of cloud resources (compute, storage, networking) Monitor system performance and troubleshoot cloud infrastructure issue Support user account management, access controls, and system documentation Assist in deployment, integration, and maintenance of cloud-based applications Work with senior engineers to implement automation, security, and operational best practices Help ensure compliance with federal security requirements and policies Participate in incident response, patching, and system updates Document processes, configurations, and standard operating procedures Required Qualifications Active Secret Clearance Bachelor's degree in IT, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience) 0-2 years of experience in IT, cloud support, system administration, or related field Basic understanding of cloud concepts (OCI, AWS, or Azure) Familiarity with operating systems (Windows and/or Linux) Foundational knowledge of networking (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (Security+ or equivalent), or ability to obtain within 6 months Strong troubleshooting skills and willingness to learn Preferred Qualifications Entry-level cloud certification (OCI Foundations, AWS Cloud Practitioner, or Azure Fundamentals) Exposure to scripting or automation (PowerShell, Python, or similar) Familiarity with virtualization or cloud lab environments Experience supporting federal or DoD environments Proximity to Hanscom AFB for hybrid support Equal opportunity employer as to all protected groups, including protected veterans and individuals with disabilities • While an hourly range is posted for this position, an eventual hourly rate is determined by a comprehensive salary analysis which considers multiple factors including but not limited to: job-related knowledge, skills and qualifications, education and experience as compared to others in the organization doing substantially similar work, if applicable, and market and business considerations.
