Job Description
Job Requirements Sweetwater, the nation's #1 online retailer of pro audio equipment and music instruments is seeking to hire a Senior Software Engineer to add to our growing Customer Data Platform team. As a member of our team, you will build and support a diverse set of applications that support all departments within our business to better serve our external customers. This is a full-time position located at our headquarters in Fort Wayne, IN. We offer flexible work schedules and hybrid work-from-home options. Job Responsibilities Work with an expert team of engineers to design and maintain scalable micro-services and distributed systems Participate in architectural decisions for high-performance, fault-tolerant services Write efficient, maintainable backend code Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues Drive improvements in performance, reliability, and scalability Qualifications Experience in at least one low-level or systems-oriented language (e.g., Go, C, C++, Rust, Java) Working understanding of data structures, algorithms and modern coding practices Some experience working with relational databases like MySQL, Postgres, or SQL Server is preferred, along with the ability to write SQL queries Proficiency with API design (gRPC, REST) and working with such APIs when building applications Knowledge of cloud-native technologies/tooling (Kubernetes, Docker) Strong problem-solving skills and ability to debug complex issues Experience in modern front end web/SPA development (React, Vue, Angular) for cross-team collaboration is preferred Sweetwater "Ideal Team Player" WOWs The Customer
