Q-level security clearance which requires U.S. Citizenship. Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or related field, or the equivalent combination of education and related experience. Experience with systems engineering practices understanding and broad application of MBSE tools and techniques, including hands-on experience developing and maintaining system models. Comprehensive knowledge of discrete requirements management tools and other systems engineering tools and techniques for product realization processes, including requirements, designs, functions, failure mechanisms, risks, assessments, and verifications. Experience with systems engineering tools and techniques, product realization processes, project work planning, scheduling, cost estimating, analyzing and managing budgets, and project controls reporting. Ability to promote and maintain productive relationships across directorates, with other laboratories, and with personnel from external entities. Ability to work independently with minimal direction and use independent judgement in determining systems engineering methods and techniques. Proficient communication, facilitation, and collaboration skills, necessary to present and explain technical information. Experience working independently and responsively to changing priorities and ability to meet deadlines. Additional qualifications at the SES.3 level Advanced experience leading the application of MBSE and digital requirements management in complex, multidisciplinary engineering programs, including defining modeling strategies, guiding model architecture, and assuring integration with broader digital engineering ecosystems. Demonstrated ability to set technical direction for systems engineering and digital engineering activities across multiple projects or program elements, including establishing standards, workflows, and best practices for MBSE, requirements management, and digital thread development. Proven track record of leading cross-organizational collaborations, influencing stakeholders at multiple levels, and building consensus among diverse technical teams, sponsors, and external partners within the NSE or comparable environments. Significant experience mentoring and developing staff in systems engineering and MBSE practices, including training others to use digital engineering tools effectively and fostering communities of practice that improve organizational capability. Ability to be recognized as a resource in systems engineering and MBSE, with a demonstrated ability to provide strategic technical guidance to program and line management, contribute to long-range planning, and identify and drive opportunities for innovation in digital engineering. Qualifications We Desire Master's degree in engineering, computer science, or related field. Broad knowledge of Laboratory policies and practices and applicable NNSA orders. Subject matter knowledge of nuclear warhead engineering, assessments, and design. Pay Range $146,340- $222,564 Annually $146,340
