Snowflake DBA

About the role As a Snowflake DBA, you will make an impact by providing technical administrative support for Snowflake systems and applications across our enterprise data platform. You will be a valued member of the enterprise data platform team and work collaboratively with internal and external teams to design solutions that meet the needs of Snowflake-based applications. You will build resilient, scalable, and maintainable systems that serve the platform and all interfacing applications. In this role, you will:

• Create and configure new Snowflake accounts, and design, implement, and support replication processes to ensure business continuity.
• Design, implement, and support data-sharing solutions for both inbound and outbound data exchanges.
• Design, implement, and support role-based access controls (RBAC) to properly secure enterprise data.
• Monitor cost and performance across Snowflake accounts and assist application teams with troubleshooting.
• Implement production application database changes and partner with teams on cloud infrastructure using Azure, Terraform, and Git.

• Hands-on experience administering Snowflake, including account configuration, RBAC, replication, and data-sharing solutions.
• Strong understanding of foundational cloud concepts with practical experience building in Azure, including Private DNS zones, Blob Storage, Private Endpoints, and Private Link as they relate to Snowflake.
• Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform.
• Comfort with code versioning tools such as Git.
• Proven ability to monitor cost and performance across Snowflake environments and troubleshoot issues with application teams. These will help you stand out
• Experience designing and supporting enterprise-scale data platforms with a focus on resilience and maintainability.
• Familiarity with data governance and security best practices in cloud-native environments.
• Strong communication skills to partner effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Salary and Other Compensation Applications will be accepted until May 20, 2026 The annual salary for this position is between $110,000- $145,000 USD depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
