Job Title:
Sr. Integration Technician Job Description We are seeking a Sr. Integration Technician to provide technical support services for site integration, site delivery, and maintenance of projects and control systems. The ideal candidate will deploy distributed generation control systems, PLC programming, SCADA and remote monitoring solutions, protective relay programming, battery storage applications, generators, networking equipment, and system control architecture. Responsibilities Review project specifications and drawings with the engineering team, identifying similar past projects. Provide technical support for field personnel, engineering teams, and 3rd party vendors. Offer commissioning and integration support in the field to install products and projects. Coordinate various maintenance programs covering generation, assets, switchgear, and controls/SCADA. Make field changes to support engineering and customer needs. Document final installation configurations and changes. Share lessons learned from field integration and maintenance support with the engineering team. Represent the company at FAT testing with technical and product expertise. Provide expertise related to codes and standards for products. Support GridSure applications both in the field and remotely. Ensure schedules and milestone dates are achieved. Review and verify drawing packages before submission and release. Coordinate and document efforts for internal teams. Resolve outstanding design questions or issues. Continuously improve operations, decrease turnaround times, and streamline work processes. Communicate effectively in English with engineers, drafters, and manufacturing personnel. Aid in maintaining the engineering schedule and raise early warnings if milestones are at risk. Own program-level design and support efforts. Essential Skills Experience in integration, switchgear, and industrial automation. Strong experience with Volvo diesel generators. Proficient with MES/SCADA, PLCs, and industrial networks. Knowledge of industrial protocols such as Modbus, Profinet/Profibus, CANopen, J1939, Ether
CAT, MQTT.
Experience with generator and power system controllers. Familiarity with various UL (or equivalent) standards and the National Electrical Code (NEC). Proficient in communications software such as Modscan, Modbus Poll, Wireshark, NMap. Proficient in industrial automation software like TIA Portal, Crimson 3. Experience with protective relays such as Siemens Siprotec 5, ABB REx, SEL-(300, 600, 700) series. Proficient with Volvos Vodia tool and software. Additional Skills & Qualifications 5+ years of experience in commissioning power systems, manufacturing generators and switchgear, and control systems. Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills. Desire for continuous improvement. Proficient with Microsoft Office suite. Ability to interact effectively with peers and management. Ability to travel up to 55% of the year. Proficiency in MS Office applications like Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint. Understanding of mechanical and electrical drawing sets. Work Environment This is a remote position requiring proximity to a major airport. The role involves approximately 60-70% travel to customer sites, including manufacturing facilities, project construction sites, and live industrial process facilities. There will be occasional exposure to electrical testing and other industrial processes, and the candidate must be able to work in varying weather conditions. Physical requirements include lifting, squatting, standing, and working in high and low positions for extended periods. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Raleigh, NC. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $50.00/hr.
