Job Description Software Engineer Clearance Level:

Aquila Technology is seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer t o join our team in supporting one of the country's premier defense research organizations. The Software Engineer will work with a team performing systems engineering activities for a large program. Responsibilities include developing, flowing down and tracking requirements, architecting systems, developing an MBSE model of the systems and their interfaces, planning and leading verification and validation activities, and identifying risks and defining risk mitigation strategies.Must Have Degree Level:
Bachelor's Degree 5 years- Systems Engineering 2 years
- Model based systems engineering 2 years
- SysML experience Nice to Have Systems Magic draw
Systems Integration What You Will Bring:
A Bachelors Degree in Physics, Mechanical, Electrical, Aero/Astro, Software Engineering, or related fields and at least 7 years of relevant experience with systems engineering for space or airborne systems. A MS degree or PhD can be substituted for years of experience. The ability to support a full range of systems engineering activities for multiple programs The ability to use a systems perspective to identify needed technology development efforts Demonstrated experience leading multi-disciplinary teams Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to produce and present professional written reports and presentations Experience with SysML Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools is required.Preferred Skills:

$1/$1 up to 3%, then .50 cents / $1 for 4th and 5th %s Fully vested from day one Company match does not apply to catch-up contribution Cell Phone & Internet Reimbursedup to $150 monthly to cover cell phone, data, and home internet expenses. Aquila Technology will reimburse team members who work from home ONLY for cell phone/mobile device fees for work-related communications and/or operations each month. Employees eligible for this benefit must work remote 2 days a week or more to qualify. Buy Your Own Device (BYOD)- Team members are eligible for reimbursement of up to $1,500 every three (3) years for the purchase of electronic equipment used to access corporate services.
Work location:
The candidate should expect to be onsite 5 days a week with some flexibility for occasional remote work.Clearance Level:
Interim secret sufficient to start. Role will eventually be required at the Top Secret Clearance.Interview Process:
Initial phone/zoom screen with hiring manager. Second round interviews will be onsite with a larger group interview. Candidates should plan to come onsite for the second round interview.Travel:
