Job Description
Company Overview GeoSport Lighting, a TenCate company, delivers advanced sports lighting and integrated technology solutions across North America. As part of TenCate, we support large-scale athletic facilities with innovative lighting, controls, and system integration capabilities that enhance performance, efficiency, and user experience. Position Summary GeoSport Lighting is seeking a Systems Integration Engineer to support the development, configuration, and deployment of integrated control and automation systems. This role combines software configuration, controls engineering, and hands-on system integration, with a strong focus on ensuring complex systems operate effectively in real-world environments. This is a highly practical, hands-on role. The ideal candidate is comfortable working through real-time integration challenges, building solutions, and supporting systems from initial setup through final commissioning. Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain custom splash pages and web interfaces for system access, monitoring, and control, including URL-based access points Configure, program, and troubleshoot PLC-based control systems Support system integration across multiple platforms, including lighting controls, networking, and automation systems Assist with end-to-end commissioning, including setup, testing, validation, and troubleshooting of integrated systems Execute detailed integration tasks such as software configuration, device addressing, protocol alignment, and cross-system communication Support integrations utilizing protocols such as TouchOSC, UDP, and TCP/IP Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless interaction between hardware, software, and control systems Identify and resolve integration issues, bottlenecks, and inconsistencies in system performance Maintain accurate documentation of system architecture, configurations, and updates Provide support for both on-site and remote deployments, including troubleshooting live systems
Qualifications Required:
Experience in systems integration, controls engineering, or automation Working knowledge of PLC systems and control logic Understanding of networking fundamentals, including IP-based systems, routing, and device communication Ability to troubleshoot complex, multi-system issues in real-world environments Strong attention to detail, particularly for precision-based or repetitive integration tasks Ability to work independently and solve problems with limited documentationPreferred:
Experience with lighting control systems such as DMX, RDM, Art-Net, sACN, or MADRIX Basic web development experience (HTML or simple front-end / embedded interfaces) Experience integrating hardware, software, and network systems Field commissioning or deployment experience Exposure to full-stack development concepts What This Role Involves Solving real-world integration challenges where systems do not initially function as expected Bridging gaps between different manufacturers, protocols, and platforms Optimizing and stabilizing system performance in active environments Supporting the final stages of projects where precision and problem-solving are critical Level & Growth This is a mid-level role with strong growth potential into senior integration, controls architecture, or lead engineering positions. Over time, this individual will have the opportunity to take on greater ownership of system design and integration strategy.
