We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join Raytheon Vision Systems (RVS), a global leader in cutting-edge focal plane and camera technologies. At RVS, you will collaborate with a team of talented engineers and scientists to develop industry-leading solutions in visible, infrared, multispectral, hyperspectral, and LADAR sensor and camera systems. Our innovative products are widely used in diverse air, ground, and space applications across both commercial and defense sectors. As a key member of the software engineering team, you will contribute to the design, development, integration, deployment, and support of RVS software. You will collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver high-quality solutions for military and commercial programs, leveraging a combination of industry-standard tools and proprietary development processes. This is an onsite role in Goleta, CA.
What You Will Do:
Work on the design, development, integration, deployment, and support of RVS software Design, develop, and maintain software for RVS sensor and camera products Software design and development of hardware test frameworks Software integration with firmware and test hardware Software validation to customer specifications Generate formal documentation such as Version Descriptions and Validation Documents Installation, deployment, and instructional support for automated test software Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, coding, testing, and deployment. Ensure software compliance with industry standards, security protocols, and performance objectives. Troubleshooting and supporting requirements for advanced imaging hardware Responsible for tracking and managing cost, schedule, and technical performance metrics Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including hardware, systems, and test engineers, to ensure seamless integration and functionality
Qualifications You Must Have:
Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience in software development skills with
C/C++, C
#, Java, and/or Python and knowledge of Object Oriented (OO) methodologies Experience with industry‑standard IDEs, including Visual Studio, VS Code, and MATLAB, for development, debugging, and version‑controlled workflows
Qualifications We Prefer:
Coding with hardware interfaces, (Serial I/O, Ethernet) Software-oriented diagnostic tools (profiler, debugger) Experience with hardware oriented diagnostic tools (oscilloscope, WireShark) Matlab and/or

The salary range for this role is 95,500 USD - 181,700 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
