Job Title:
Wintel Lead Location(s): Fort Mill, SC Job Description Senior Windows, Virtualization & Cloud Infrastructure SME (10+ Years Experience). Role Overview We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Infrastructure SME with deep hands-on expertise in Windows Server platforms, Active Directory, SCCM, VMware virtualization, and working knowledge of Azure and AWS. This position requires strong architectural thinking, advanced troubleshooting skills, and the ability to design, operate, and optimize large-scale enterprise infrastructure environments. Windows Server & OS Platform Engineering Design and manage Windows Server (2012/2016/2019/2022) across multi site data centers. Advanced Active Directory architecture including replication, FSMO roles, GPO baseline design, and schema changes. Deep troubleshooting using Sysinternals, PerfMon, and event log analytics. Design and support DNS/DHCP, Client R, file server clusters, IIS servers, and certificate bindings. Resolve authentication issues involving Kerberos, NTLM.... VMware Virtualization Engineering Manage VMware ESXi hosts, vCenter, clusters, HA/DRS policies, and resource pools. Perform capacity planning, CPU ready analysis, memory ballooning checks, and datastore optimization. Troubleshoot host isolation, PSOD, VM performance issues, and storage latency. Design VM templates, VM hardware configurations, snapshot policies, and lifecycle automation. Cloud Platforms - Azure & AWS Support hybrid environments with Azure AD Connect and identity synchronization. Provision and manage Azure VMs, NSGs, snapshots, and backup configurations. Manage
AWS EC2, VPC
basics, IAM policies, EBS snapshots, and AMI lifecycle. Assist with migration activities from VMware to Azure/AWS. SCCM / Endpoint & Patch Management Architect and manage SCCM infrastructure: Primary Site Server, MPs, DPs, SUP, WSUS maintenance. Build ADRs, software deployments, and compliance dashboards for patching. Design enterprise OSD task sequences and update WIM images. Troubleshoot client health, boundary issues, and distribution failures. Infrastructure Security & Compliance Implement CIS/Microsoft hardening baselines for servers and domain controllers. Manage PKI certificates, SSL lifecycle, and secure RDP/PowerShell configurations. Monitor event logs, audit trails, and generate compliance reports. Ensure patch compliance and remediation for vulnerabilities. Monitoring, Performance & Troubleshooting Build and tune monitoring using SCOM, Dyantrace and SolarWinds.. Conduct deep-dive RCA investigations using logs, traces, and memory dumps. Analyze performance bottlenecks across OS, network, storage, and hypervisor layers. Required Skills & Experience 10+ years of enterprise IT infrastructure experience. Strong hands on knowledge of Windows Server, AD, VMware, SCCM, and patching. Working knowledge of Azure and AWS environments. Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills for P1/P2 incidents. Excellent communication and documentation skills. Preferred Skills PowerShell advanced scripting expertise. Understanding of networking fundamentals (VLAN, routing, firewall basics). Exposure to automation tools such as Terraform/Ansible.
