Job Description

About the Role We are seeking a skilled Platform Engineer to be the primary point of contact for local IT support, resolving hardware, software, and network issues. In this role, you will ensure seamless IT operations by configuring and maintaining desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices. Your expertise will contribute to maintaining a productive and secure computing environment for all users. Responsibilities Serve as the primary local contact for IT incidents and service requests, driving timely resolution and minimizing user downtime. Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices, ensuring optimal performance and security. Collaborate with global IT teams to facilitate system upgrades, patch management, and the deployment of new technologies, enhancing overall IT infrastructure. Monitor IT equipment and infrastructure, proactively identifying and escalating critical issues to prevent disruptions. Maintain comprehensive documentation of incidents, solutions, and asset inventory, ensuring accurate records for future reference. Provide exceptional customer service and communication to local and remote users, fostering a positive and productive IT support experience. Support employee onboarding and offboarding processes, including account setups and equipment provisioning, ensuring smooth transitions. Contribute to projects, audits, and disaster recovery planning/testing, enhancing the organization's IT resilience and compliance. Qualifications Required Skills Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience. Proficiency in Active Directory, remote support tools, and Microsoft Azure. Experience with virtual desktop deployments. Preferred Skills Experience with Microsoft SCCM. Familiarity with IT security procedures and compliance standards. Proven ability to provide excellent customer service and technical support.
