U.S. ABOUT THIS FEATURED OPPORTUNITY
You'll play a critical role in testing and debugging base station components (CU/DU/RU), working with wireless technologies, and leveraging UE and RU emulation to replicate real-world scenarios. This is a highly hands-on role requiring comfort with lab hardware, RF systems, and rapid iteration.
THE OPPORTUNITY FOR YOU
In this role, you will design, build, and operate lab environments that support integration-phase testing of wireless systems, with a focus on base station functionality and RF validation. Perform testing and validation of base station components, including: Centralized Unit (CU) Distributed Unit (DU) Radio Unit (RU) Execute integration-phase testing, focusing on system bring-up, interoperability, and pre-production validation (not just end-product testing) Work with wireless technologies, including troubleshooting and performance validation Utilize UE (User Equipment) and RU emulation tools to simulate real-world network conditions Set up, configure, and maintain lab equipment, including RF systems, cabling, and test infrastructure Troubleshoot and debug issues across hardware, RF, networking, and software layers Support rapid test iteration by adapting lab setups and configurations for evolving integration needs Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including RF engineers, software engineers, and systems teams Act as hands-on lab support ( "eyes and hands") for remote engineering teams Build and maintain test documentation, including test cases, integration scenarios, and results tracking
KEY SUCCESS FACTORS
Strong hands-on experience in wireless system integration and testing, particularly in pre-production or integration phases Experience with base station architectures, including
CU/DU/RU
components Experience with wireless communication systems and RF validation Experience with UE emulation and/or RU emulation tools Proven ability to set up and operate RF lab environments, including hardware configuration and cabling Strong troubleshooting skills across RF, hardware, networking, and software systems Comfortable working in a hands-on lab environment, including physical setup and reconfiguration of equipment Working knowledge of Linux systems and basic scripting (Bash or Python) for test execution and debugging
NICE TO HAVES
Experience with soldering, PCB work, or basic hardware modification Experience building or assembling PC systems or lab hardware Familiarity with 3GPP test cases, especially as applied to RAN (Radio Access Network) rather than core-only focus Experience with RF lab equipment (spectrum analyzers, signal generators, oscilloscopes) Background in networking (VLANs, routing, or lab network setup) Experience supporting test automation frameworks or integration test pipelines About INSPYR Solutions Technology is our focus and quality is our commitment.
