Houston, TX (Onsite - 5 Days/Week) Job Description We are seeking a hands-on Technical Architect to lead the architecture and implementation of a large-scale Enterprise Analytics transformation initiative. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Microsoft Fabric, lakehouse architecture, cloud-native data platforms, governance, and enterprise security frameworks. This role will focus on designing and implementing a secure, scalable, and governed analytics platform using modern lakehouse and medallion architecture principles. Candidates should be comfortable driving architecture strategy while actively contributing to implementation and delivery. Key Responsibilities Design and implement Microsoft Fabric lakehouse architecture and OneLake strategy Define Bronze, Silver, and Gold medallion data layers Build scalable ingestion and orchestration frameworks for batch and near real-time data processing Develop reusable and metadata-driven integration patterns Define enterprise semantic layer and curated data models Implement governance, lineage, and metadata standards using tools like Purview Architect RBAC, Zero Trust security models, encryption, masking, and compliance controls Establish observability, monitoring, logging, and disaster recovery standards Design API and event-driven interoperability frameworks Lead implementation of reusable ingestion pipelines and foundational analytics frameworks Collaborate with Business Analysts, Data Analysts, and Engineering teams for delivery and validation Required Skills 10+ years of experience in Data Architecture, Cloud Architecture, or Enterprise Analytics Strong experience with Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Services, or similar cloud analytics platforms Expertise in Lakehouse and Medallion Architecture Experience building enterprise data warehouses and ingestion frameworks Strong knowledge of RBAC, Zero Trust security, data lineage, and metadata-driven architecture Hands-on experience with governance tools like Microsoft Purview Experience designing scalable, reusable ETL/ELT frameworks Strong documentation and architecture blueprinting skills
