Yokogawa Corporation of America seeks Engineer•Project Delivery Operations in Sugar Land, TX. Support the design, configuration, and deployment of Distributed Control Systems (DCS), SCADA, and industrial automation platforms in process industry environments. Apply engineering principles to analyze and optimize mechanical and process systems integrated with automation and control technologies. Perform reliability and system performance analyses using methodologies such as FMEA, RCA, SPC, and modeling to identify issues and recommend improvements. Analyze operational and system datasets to support engineering decisions on system performance, control strategy tuning, and operational efficiency. Develop and validate process and automation system improvements to enhance equipment reliability, safety, and overall operational effectiveness. Assist in project delivery activities, including system integration testing, I/O validation, and participation in factory and site acceptance testing. Support system commissioning and startup, including diagnostics, performance verification, and resolution of technical issues. Develop and implement engineering standards, SOPs, configuration templates, and technical documentation. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective integration of control technologies with process equipment. Evaluate equipment and system performance and recommend design, configuration, or process modifications. Assist in lifecycle service activities such as system upgrades, technology migrations, and long-term system assessments. Requires a Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related engineering field. Requires any amount of knowledge gained through employment experience or academic coursework and projects in mechanical systems, control theory, process analysis, modeling, simulation, and data analysis in the following: Systems engineering or thermos-fluids; Modeling and simulation of physical or industrial systems; Data analysis, statistics, and engineering computation; Ability to interpret P&IDs, process flow diagrams, schematics, and engineering drawings; Analytical and problem-solving skills applied to complex, multidisciplinary engineering systems; Written and verbal communication skills for preparation of technical documentation and collaboration in engineering project environments.
