Cloud Engineer

Role Overview We are seeking an experienced Senior Platform / DevOps Engineer to join Platform Engineering team. The role focuses on designing, building, and operating large-scale, cloud-native, event-driven platforms using modern DevOps and Kubernetes-based infrastructure. You will work in a collaborative environment to deliver self-service platforms, automation, and robust CI/CD pipelines that power critical financial services applications. Key Responsibilities Design, build, and operate scalable Kubernetes-based platforms Develop and maintain self-service infrastructure and deployment pipelines Implement CI/CD automation using modern DevOps tools Build and support event-driven, cloud-native systems Drive infrastructure-as-code and platform automation initiatives Improve observability using monitoring, logging, and tracing tools Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver platform solutions Identify and resolve technical challenges and system bottlenecks Mentor engineers and contribute to technical leadership Continuously evaluate and adopt new technologies to improve platform efficiency Primary Requirements (Must Have) Kubernetes & DevOps Bachelor''s or master''s degree in computer science / engineering or related field 5+ years of experience with production Kubernetes clusters (EKS / AKS / GKE or self-managed) Deep Kubernetes knowledge: Scheduling, RBAC, networking policies Helm / Kustomize Operators and autoscaling Strong DevOps experience: CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, ArgoCD / Flux GitOps) Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible) Containerization (Docker, registries) Experience building developer self-service platforms and golden paths 2+ years in cloud environments (AWS / Azure / Google Cloud Platform) Strong understanding of IAM, networking, and cost optimization Observability expertise: Prometheus, Grafana ELK / OpenSearch Distributed tracing tools Experience with service mesh (Istio / Linkerd) and API gateway patterns Strong Agile experience (SCRUM / Kanban) Excellent communication and collaboration skills Secondary Requirements (Important) Java / Spring Boot 3+ years'' experience with Java and Spring Boot microservices Strong understanding of microservices and REST APIs Experience deploying containerized Java apps on Kubernetes JVM tuning for containerized environments Experience with Maven / Gradle Unit, integration testing, and static code analysis practices
