Responsibilities:
Telos is looking for a Senior Network Systems Engineer to work on the Army Global Unified Network (AGUN) - Increment 1 (INC1) program and support the AGUN Migration team and focus on network security operations, firewall migration activities, and secure network infrastructure support for the Army's global network environment. The Global Enterprise Network Modernization - OCONUS (GENM-O) is a critical mission provider responsible for keeping the Army connected through global network modernization projects. The Army Global Unified Network (AGUN) - Increment 1 (INC1) will unify the next generation of Army transport to comply with the Joint Regional Security Stack (JRSS) divestiture mandate. A phased systematic approach is required to provide individual sites with standardized, updated technology systems to ensure the Army's Information Technology (IT) infrastructure is equipped to provide soldiers with cutting-edge technology to ensure applications, data, and enterprise services are accessible, trusted, and interoperable across the globe.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Support legacy environment discovery and assessment activities to facilitate network firewall migration efforts.
  • Analyze and manage firewall security zones and policies, including policy transformation across multiple firewall vendors while maintaining mission requirements.
  • Support Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA) solutions through the creation and maintenance of access policies.
  • Assist with network security operations, capacity planning, system hardening, and compliance with DoD security standards.
  • Collaborate with engineering, cybersecurity, and operations teams to troubleshoot and resolve complex network security issues.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, network diagrams, and implementation procedures.
Job Requirements Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
    Experience:
    At least three years of experience in information assurance, information technology, or a related field.
      Education:
      Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of experience is the basic education requirement
      • Must currently possess and be able to maintain an active DoD SECRET security clearance. (US Citizenship required)
      • Strong understanding of enterprise networking concepts (LAN/WAN, BGP, TCP/UDP, VPNs, IPSec, Routing, Firewalls)
      • Experience with network security technologies such as Palo Alto, Cisco, Juniper, or similar platforms
      • Familiarity with DoD security requirements, STIG implementation, and network management tools
      • Strong communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative team environment The successful candidate must meet eligibility requirements to access sensitive information, which requires US citizenship.
