McLean, VA Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled lead systems engineer with deep expertise in Google workspace administration to join our growing Information Technology (IT) team. This role is critical in supporting our ongoing merger and acquisition initiatives, ensuring seamless integration and administration of Google workspace environments. The ideal candidate will be self-driven, require minimal supervision, and be able to deliver results from day one.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead administration and management of Google workspace across the organization. Oversee user provisioning, access controls, and security policies. Manage integrations with Google APIs and Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Collaborate with cross-functional teams during activities to ensure smooth system transitions. Implement best practices for identity and access management, with OKTA experience being a strong plus. Automate workflows and processes using Python or Java. Provide technical leadership and mentorship to the existing team of 6 engineers. Ensure compliance with organizational policies and industry standards.
Required Qualifications:
Google workspace administrator certification (must have). Proven experience in Google workspace administration (minimum 5 years preferred). Strong knowledge of Google APIs and GCP. Ability to work independently and hit the ground running. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with OKTA for identity management. Exposure to AWS (nice to have, not mandatory). Proficiency in Python and/or Java for automation and integration tasks.
