Job Requirements Radford, VA Secret Polygraph Unspecified Career Level not specified Salary not specified Join Premium to unlock estimated salaries Job Description Overview The Cloud Engineer, supports the U.S. Army Product Lead Acquisition, Logistics, and Technology Enterprise Systems and Services (PL ALTESS) commercial cloud services infrastructure. ALTESS is a managed service provider for Army and DoD IT systems and plans to offer managed cloud services in public clouds, MS Azure, AWS and Private Clouds. Responsibilities
  • Reviews all Service Level Agreements (SLA), Addendums, and cost estimates prepared for customer projects.
Qualifications Required:
  • Experience in Computer Science or IT.
  • CompTIA Security+.
  • Security+ (Or equivalent IA cert) and computing environment certification (i.e. MCSD Azure Solutions Architect, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, etc.).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience effectively managing multiple large-scale projects.
  • Experience automating routine administrative tasks desired.
  • Strong experience with IPSEC/VPN, and other secure transport technologies as well as Border Gateway Protocol.
  • Proven experience migrating on-premises applications to the cloud.
  • Understanding of network, storage, server, and application technologies.
  • Strong knowledge of automation concepts, tools, and scripting languages (Ansible, Terraform, Python, Powershell, Bash, Puppet, Chef, etc.).
  • Working knowledge of code repositories tools such as Git.
  • Working knowledge of DoD STIGs, and IA Vulnerability Management (IAVM).
  • Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery pipeline experience such as Jenkins, Travis CI, AWS Code Deploy.
Preferred:
  • Senior IT experience in networking or equivalent experience.
