Job Description

Description Delavan Holdings is building a modern Office of the CTO focused on operational modernization, enterprise automation, systems integration, and practical AI adoption across a diversified portfolio of businesses including automotive retail, hospitality, logistics, industrial services, and professional services. We are seeking a hands-on Technical and AI Systems Architect to help design, build, and support scalable systems, integrations, and automation solutions across the organization. This role will work closely with operational teams and leadership to reduce manual processes, improve workflows, connect systems, and support AI-powered operational initiatives. This is a highly collaborative builder role for someone who enjoys solving business problems through software engineering, APIs, automation, integrations, cloud technologies, and practical AI implementation. The ideal candidate combines strong technical skills with adaptability, operational thinking, and the ability to operate effectively within a fast-moving and evolving environment. Duties and Responsibilities Design, build, and support APIs, workflow automations, systems integrations, and operational technology solutions across multiple business entities. Develop scalable automation tools and integration workflows that reduce manual effort and improve operational efficiency. Collaborate with operational and business teams to understand workflow challenges and technical requirements. Build and maintain integrations between SaaS platforms, operational systems, reporting environments, and AI-powered tools. Assist with architecture decisions, technical planning, and solution design across enterprise initiatives. Partner with the AI Technical Product Manager and AI Solutions Analyst to translate operational needs into scalable technical solutions. Support cloud infrastructure, deployment workflows, and system scalability initiatives. Establish and follow development standards including source control, documentation, deployment practices, and technical governance. Evaluate and implement AI tools, APIs, automation platforms, and supporting technologies where appropriate. Maintain technical documentation for systems, integrations, workflows, and operational tools. Troubleshoot technical issues, optimize existing workflows, and continuously improve automation processes. Operate with a high level of ownership, independent judgment, and accountability while balancing multiple priorities in a rapidly evolving environment. Requirements Required Qualifications 5+ years of hands-on experience in software engineering, systems engineering, integrations, automation development, or related technical roles. Strong proficiency in one or more modern development languages such as Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, or similar technologies. Experience building APIs, integrations, workflow automations, or operational systems. Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure. Experience working with source control platforms such as Git. Hands-on experience using AI tools, LLM APIs, automation technologies, or AI-assisted development workflows. Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and systems-thinking skills. Ability to work independently and adapt within a fast-moving and evolving environment. Strong communication and collaboration skills across technical and operational teams. Preferred Qualifications Experience working with OpenAI APIs, Anthropic APIs, workflow automation tools, or AI-powered operational systems. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, deployment workflows, or DevOps practices. Exposure to data pipelines, reporting systems, or enterprise analytics environments. Experience with workflow automation platforms such as Zapier, Make, Power Automate, or n8n. Experience working within multi-entity or operationally complex organizations. Background in automotive retail, hospitality, logistics, or related industries. Exposure to Power BI, Looker Studio, or business intelligence platforms.
